Couple of questions for "de-demilling". I just got my trunnion and my cocking tube separated. Now I need to cut the spot welds and free both of them. On the cocking tube, where it meets up with the receiver there is a weld bead. Drill into the middle of the rivet, use a small bit, ile 1/8". Once you drill most of the way through, and ONLY IF YOU DRILLES IT FAIRLY CENTER, then step that bit up to a 5/32 (I think) and drill half way in. Then put a 5/32 punch in that hole and pop the rivet head off. I just use the drill until it either breaks or is not cutting any more chips. There are lots of drill sizes the most common fractional ones I use for demilling are 1/8th, 9/64, 5/32, and #2 0r #3 center drills. I like both Requiem Arms and AKB rivet drilling jigs they work great. Like.

Re: demilling your own firearm. You could always collect the guns you ruin this way and create a piece of art like others have done... Skeet is a sport where you are better to hit half of each bird then completely blast one and miss the other completely.

The hardest part was removing the barrel with the gear puller whilst the most harrowing part was using the same puller for the barrel pin.
