Nah there's a way you can decrypt shards in there. In the mission with the Militech chick, if you're a corpo, you can hack the shard and either delete the virus or try to copy the malware. Copying the malware gives you a message about being Militech property and you're an unauthorized user. But deleting the malware actually does so.
